Downtown Atlanta is undergoing several new development and revitalization projects which will see more restaurants open in the coming months, especially in the 10-block South Downtown development, the Centennial Yards Entertainment District and The Center (also known as The CTR).

The South Downtown neighborhood of Atlanta is a 10-20 minute walk to the stadium, depending on which part of the area you're visiting. It has become a hub for development efforts, including the South Downtown development, Underground Atlanta and the nearby Centennial Yards Entertainment District.

Dough in the Box — This local doughnut restaurant recently opened its fourth location in South Downtown serving doughnuts, doughnut holes, doughnuts stuffed with filling, pigs in a blanket and bagels. 239 Mitchell St. SW

Spiller Park — This cafe offers a cozy setting with specialty drinks and a small menu of baked goods and toasts. 233 Mitchell St. SW

Tyde Tate Kitchen — A local Thai restaurant with dine-in and to-go ordering less than a mile from Mercedes-Benz Stadium. 229 Mitchell St. SW

Smorgasburg Atlanta — An outdoor food festival that sets up on Saturdays in the streets of South Downtown offering a variety of street food, pop-ups and food trucks. 140 Forsyth St. SW
